Newcomer Basic Supplements launches its core protein powders at hard-to-beat prices

Basic Supplements Launches Protein Powders

Basic Supplements is shaping up to be one of the biggest new brands in the sports nutrition industry, and it is doing so in a manner or approach we have yet to see from any other newcomer. True to its name and motto, Basic is sticking with reliable ingredients and dosages, popular categories like protein powder and pre-workout, and all at highly competitive prices. The brand is beginning with eight different products, although, to start with, it only has the protein powders available in Basic Whey and Basic Isolate.

Knowing the approach and goal of Basic Supplements, you could probably guess the sort of formula you get in Basic Whey as well as Basic Isolate. The former is the more cost-effective of the two, relying on a blend of whey sources rather than one with whey concentrate, isolate, and hydrolysate, providing 25g of protein per serving, 5g of carbohydrates, 1.5g of fat, and 130 calories. The selection of ingredients gives the product a slow-to-fast absorption rate, whereas the other supplement is purely whey isolate powered.

Basic Isolate is a more premium offering, packing 26g of protein per serving, all from high-quality, fast-absorbing whey isolate, alongside 3g of carbohydrates, a gram of that sugar, no fat, and 120 calories. As expected, the protein powders from Basic Supplements are clean, simple, and to the point, sticking to that motto of “Back To Basics”. The flavors you have to choose from for Basic Whey and Basic Isolate do get a bit creative with Whey in the usual Chocolate and Vanilla, as well as Boston Cream Donut and Blue Marshmallow, then Isolate has the same classics plus Peanut Butter Cookie and Salted Caramel Cold Brew.

Price was always going to be a strong point of Basic Supplements, and you can certainly see that in Basic Whey and Basic Isolate. While competitive pricing is not easy to do in this particular category, the newcomer trades blows with the best, selling Whey at $39.99 for 2lbs and $79.99 for a 5lber, and Isolate at $44.99 and $89.99 for the same sizes. That 5lber beats most of the major competition, giving Basic a leg up right from the get-go and a good reason for you to try them out or at least put ’em on your radar.
