Five months later David is still selling its Wild Caught Cod with a 25% higher price tag

David Cod Fillets Still Available

Earlier this year, David made noise all throughout the industry as well as other areas of the market with the launch of its clean and nutritious Wild Caught Pacific Cod. The launch of the real food felt like some sort of prank where we were expecting a “gotcha” moment in the weeks to follow. Not only did the protein bar maker make the product available through its website and ship it to customers, it also got it stocked by a retailer in Happier Grocery.

We made a note to check back in with David later this year to see if that protein-packed and impressively low-calorie Wild Caught Pacific Cod was still going to be available, and we’re here to tell you that it most definitely is. After debuting the surprising extension to its functional food family around the middle of the year, David is still stocking its Wild Caught Pacific Cod at davidprotein.com, in the same bundles of four, 6oz fillets, packing 23g of protein to 100 calories.

Interestingly, David has changed one thing for its Wild Caught Pacific Cod, at least when shopping through its website and that is the price. When we first reported on the real food it was $55, which was high although now it is even higher. David’s quality cod fillets have gone up by 25% to $69 for that same pack of four, so it’s still there just more expensive.
