Misfits makes a snack-sized bar that’s not much smaller than its original

Snack Sized Misfits Protein Bar

Variety packs are one of the best ways to try a functional food company and its flagship product, or even a selection of its tastiest treats, as it saves you from investing in an entire box of, say, 12 pieces all in the same flavor. Another strategy when wanting to try new protein foods and snacks you haven’t had before is a smaller, bite-sized variant, which isn’t common, but it happens. The plant-based powerhouse Misfits has gone and introduced precisely, although it’s not that much smaller.

The all-new Misfits Protein Bar Snack Size is not half, like we see with most miniaturized spin-offs; it’s just 20% lighter, tipping the scales at 40g a piece instead of 50. While the original has around 15g of protein, the trimmed-down variety is just a pinch under that at 12g, again, not that much less. The other macros are on a similarly scaled amount with 14g of carbohydrates, under a gram of that sugar, in the area of 5g of fat, and 146 calories, making for a product that’s almost like a different version.

Further adding to the idea that the Misfits Protein Bar Snack Size is more of an alternative experience or separate product, it comes in two completely new flavors. Neither of the options for the 40g product is available for the larger 50g, with a decadent Dark Chocolate Brownie and Chewy Toffee. The price is pretty close as well, whereas direct from the brand a box of 15 of the signature protein bar is £27.50 versus the newly released Snack Size for £3.50 less at £24 for the same amount.
