Grenade is not only the maker of one of the tastiest protein bars on the planet in the signature Grenade Protein Bar, especially its authentic Oreo flavor collaboration, but it also makes one hell of a ready-to-drink protein shake. The Grenade Protein Shake is also an incredibly tasty competitor in its own convenient space, and it’s about to receive a shake-up — no pun intended — as there is a new version that’s currently in development and officially launching shortly.
The Grenade Protein Shake probably didn’t need any changing, but from what we’ve seen, the company has seemingly moved to a new manufacturer, and with that shift, the Mondelez-owned brand is reworking the recipe a bit. According to feedback, the new ready-to-drink protein from Grenade is smoother but also thinner, which sounds like a neutral change, gaining in one area to lose in another, and again, the current version is already one of the best in the business.
The refreshed Grenade Protein Shake has been tested in two of its original flavors, Fudge Brownie and White Chocolate, although presumably, when it comes to market in that updated version, it’ll have the rest of the options alongside it. At its core, the product is still a protein-packed beverage, providing over 20g of protein per bottle, from quality milk sources. It is mainly the taste and texture that will have some differences and it sounds like they’ll be rather noticeable.
