Around this time last year, the mainstream functional protein brand Pure Protein added to the menu of its protein chip snack, Popped Crisps. The flavor extension was Sweet Chili, and coincidentally, it came roughly one year after the product made its debut the year prior. This month, once again, around the anniversary of Pure Protein Popped Crisps’ initial rollout, the product is getting more love for its menu with another two tastes to choose from, taking it to a total of five.
The first couple of flavors Pure Protein did for Popped Crisps were Hickory Barbecue and Sour Cream & Onion, both classics, and again, then we got Sweet Chili. The latest two options for the protein snack are much sweeter and dessert-like in Sweet Kettle, going after a popcorn type taste, and Cinnamon Sigar, which sounds damn delicious. They both have 12g of protein in a 36g bag, keeping the sugar incredibly low at around 2g, and the calories are more than fair at 150.
Both the Sweet Kettle and Cinnamon Sugar Pure Protein Popped Crisps are available first through the online giant Amazon, where a box of 12 bags will set you back $25.99. It doesn’t seem like that’s an exclusive availability or anything; it’s just where the flavor extensions are available first, with all of the other stores and stockists likely getting Sweet Kettle and Cinnamon Sugar shortly.
