Japan’s Haleo puts 3g of Creapure creatine into a wholefood snack bar

Haleo Boost Energy Fruit Bar

Creatine has exploded in popularity with nutrition companies, and the formats the classic muscle-building ingredient can be found in are evolving. Creatine gummies have almost become a category on their own with the amount of brands out there making them, but another functional format that has emerged is actual creatine bars. Max Effort Muscle just did one with its Muscle Bar, and before that was Warrior, and now we have Haleo out in Japan.

Haleo has debuted the Boost Energy Fruit Bar, which is a functional product made of real food ingredients like dates, oatmeal, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and mango. It is a wholesome, wholefood item that’s more about being a clean source of nutrition than high protein, with 24g of carbohydrates, no added sugar, 4g of fat, 3.4g of protein, and 151 calories. As mentioned, it is a creatine-infused offering, where every Boost Bar comes with 3g of Creapure creatine.

The creatine category is growing and evolving almost on a weekly basis, with a seemingly endless supply of brands eager to have an impact on it and take a bite out of the market, and Haleo is one of the latest to do something genuinely different. The Japanese brand has basically put a maintenance dosage of high-end German-made Creapure into a wholefood snack bar for its Boost Energy Fruit Bar, and it’s available now in a Goldenberry Mango flavor.
