The premium health and nutrition company Novex Biotech has made a name for itself with several sports category competitors like the HGH supplement GF-9, the testosterone booster TestroVax, and the fat burner ThermoDyne. One of the areas it had been missing was protein powder, which it is getting into this month with something called TripleShred. Being the specialized brand that it is, Novex is, of course, not taking on the saturated category in any traditional fashion.
TripleShred from Novex Biotech describes itself as a pre-stacked protein, a phrase we haven’t actually heard before. From what we can understand, the product is not a hybrid but a triple-hybrid, where you get a quality source of protein as well as energizing ingredients and thermogenic support. On the nutrition side of things, each serving of TripleShred provides 20g of protein from a whey blend that’s mostly whey concentrate with whey isolate as the secondary source.
Alongside the nutrition profile in Novex Biotech’s TripleShred protein powder is a 952mg blend of green tea, fructooligosaccharides, coffee extract, flexseed, and chiaseed powder, and an antioxidant blend, including the likes of grape, blueberry, cranberry, and raspberry powder. It doesn’t say it on the facts panel of the supplement, but the brand does confirm the amount of caffeine in every serving of TripleShred, and it is rather high, above a traditional can of Red Bull at 110mg.
Novex Biotech describes the term “pre-stacked” as a reference to how the supplement has multiple categories in one, essentially saving you time from having to throw them together yourself. Basically, if you’ve ever felt you wanted your protein shake, a hit of caffeine, and a fat burner in the one supplement, TripleShred has you covered. The cost isn’t too bad either, at $49.99 for a bag of 20 servings through the brand’s website, which is high but better than most other complex protein powders.
