At Expo West this year in Anaheim, California, the functional food innovator Legendary Foods sampled the newest flavor of its Popped Protein Chips, which is one of the best competitors in that format in terms of taste and light and crispy texture. The brand gave visitors a chance to try the soon-to-be-released Jalapeno Cheddar Protein Chips, although that wasn’t all it brought to the industry-level show, Legendary was also interestingly sampling a completely new product in Protein Pasta.
We have seen many attempts at functional pasta, whether it’s lower-carbohydrate varieties or vitamin and mineral-infused recipes, pasta is not an untouched format. With that said, we don’t know of anyone who has done an incredible job in this sort of thing, leaving a giant opening for Legendary Foods and its upcoming Protein Pasta. The functional specialist has one hell of a reputation when it comes to how good its products taste, so we fully believe it is going to knock this out of the park.
There aren’t any specifics on what you get in Legendary Foods Protein Pasta, such as the amount of protein per serving or the more challenging part of carbohydrates. Again, similar to what we said about the taste of the brand’s innovations, it also delivers high protein and low carbs every time in the nutrition department. We don’t imagine its Protein Pasta being any different, especially with a name like that; we’ll have to see when the promising product eventually comes to market.
