Over The Top is the absolutely loaded intra-workout from the hardcore supplement company Apollon Nutrition, which was released during its 2022 title win. Products built specifically for the intra-workout window of during your workout are not as common as they used to be but that didn’t stop the brand from coming out with one of the most stacked we’ve seen. Apollon supports every area you could want and need in an intra-workout, including performance, strength, hydration, and recovery.
This Friday, Apollon Nutrition is releasing a slightly better version of its potent intra-workout Over The Top, and as difficult as it is to believe, the team has indeed improved the formula. This wouldn’t be the first time, nor will it be the last, that the hardcore supplement company has tweaked and improved a product that you may not necessarily think has the space to. For the second iteration referred to as Over The Top V2, the team has switched the premium endurance components while keeping most of the others the same.
The consistent features of Apollon Nutrition’s Over The Top V2 are 10g of the three all-important BCAAs, feeding into the combined total of essential amino acids at 15.75g up from 14.55g, so you get about a quarter more of the other six EAAs. The muscle strength and size-supporting creatine monohydrate remains in there too at 5g a serving, as well as the double 100mg dosage of the powerhouse Senactiv, 2.5g of betaine, 3g of taurine, and a gram of the electrolyte source coconut water.
Where things get a bit different is the PeakO2 mushroom extract blend is no longer in the mix, neither is elevATP at 300mg. In their place is another premium and proven performance enhancer in PeakATP at its full and effective 450mg, and you get more hydration-supporting electrolytes thanks to the addition of half a gram of pink Himalayan salt. It is also worth mentioning, Apollon Nutrition has kept the carbohydrate base intact with 30g of high-end Cluster Dextrin and 10g of d-ribose.
Apollon Nutrition hasn’t made too many changes for Over The Top V2, mostly the loss of PeakO2 and elevATP in exchanged for the addition of PeakATP, more electrolytes, and a higher dosage of EAAs for recovery. This is one of the occasions where the brand has refined the product as opposed to reformulated, all for the better as Apollon is known for.
