Skytrition is one of the newest competitors in the sports nutrition industry, recently making its debut with a handful of nutrition supplements in two protein powders, one more straightforward and the other premium and isolate-based, and the quality carbohydrate source, CarbUp. The growing newcomer has followed up that rollout with the complete reveal and release of its fourth overall innovation in IntraUp, a type of product you don’t see all that often with an intra-workout.
IntraUp is true to the category, bringing together a solid dosage of essential amino acids to support muscle recovery, plus a host of components to help with endurance and performance during your workout. On the amino side, Skytrition squeezes in a hefty 10g of all nine EAAs, a lot of those BCAAs, plus 3g of the fast-absorbing source of protein, hydrolyzed whey. To maximize absorption and get even more from those recovery supporters, the brand has brought in the ever-present AstraGin and Skydrive, a blend of amylopectin and chromium picolinate for enhancing muscle protein synthesis.
This is an intra-workout, and Skytrition has included a few ingredients to go beyond recovery by way of quality electrolyte sources in CocoMineral coconut water at a gram per serving and Natrium branded pink Himalayan salt. There is also 1.5g of taurine to help you power through your workout, taking care of all of the angles you can expect from your typical, advanced intra-workout.
Skytrition pairing its two protein powders and carbohydrate supplement with a complex intra-workout is an interesting decision, as it’s not often you see that many go down that road much these days, and even more interestingly, it hasn’t hit the popular pre-workout space. Either way, IntraUp is here and is now available through the recently opened online store for the Sweden-based Skytrition, where you’ll pay a reasonable 399 SEK (35.96 USD) for a bottle of between 20 and 30 servings at 25.
