The Drop Culture Series is a special edition line of pre-workouts, or at least pre-workouts so far, from the ever-popular RYSE. It all started with the CEO Pre-Workout, obviously from the brand’s CEO, Nic Stella, and it featured one hell of a formula. A year or so on from the debut of that supplement, RYSE finally came out with another Drop Culture entry in collaboration with IFBB Pro Jay Lane, and now we’ve got two more, including a straightforward, directly-formulated pre-workout from Chris Shepherd.
RYSE and Chris Shepherd have collaborated to create Shep’s Ocean Splash, featuring a sweet blend of lemon, lime, and coconut when it comes to taste. As for the ingredients and dosages, as mentioned, the formula is relatively simple, bringing together six different components, nowhere near the level of the CEO Pre-Workout. The supplement appears to lean more towards muscle pumps than any other core benefit, but it still has plenty for the other necessary effects in energy, focus, and performance.

The pump side of RYSE and Chris Shepherd’s Ocean Splash Pre-Workout includes a solid 8g of pure citrulline, 508mg of VasoDrive, and a gram of the high-nitrate-yield, NO3-T sodium nitrate. Rounding out the combination is a 6.4g double dose of beta-alanine for performance, 2g of tyrosine for focus, and 250mg of caffeine. Again, the formula is short and sweet, not the kitchen sink, but the few it does have pack some serious dosages, especially the citrulline, beta-alanine, and rarely seen sodium nitrate.
The price of Shep’s Ocean Splash Pre-Workout is still up there, closer to the premium range than cost-effective at $44.99, and most interestingly, that is for a tub of 30 regular servings and 15 maximum. That is a key point because if you find something with a formula that is more to your liking, with the typical 20 full servings, it can be $60 to match the value of this one. The supplement went live at rysesupps.com earlier today and is extremely limited, so be sure to get in soon if you don’t want to miss out.
