The functional real food company Real Good Foods really turned a corner when it got into the breaded chicken format. It didn’t necessarily take an approach any different from what it’s always done, but it took it to a type of food that many people know in chicken nuggets and chicken strips that are packed full of protein and have next-to-no carbohydrates. You also can’t forget its flavored chicken bites, available in options like Korean BBQ, Garlic Parmesan, General Tso’s, and Orange Chicken.
Real Good Foods has further expanded its chicken selection with another format that the majority of consumers will have had experience with or at least know of in Breaded Chicken Fillets. The innovative company has utilized the same blend of ingredients as its nuggets and strips, using chicken breast covered in chickpea flour and whey to give you even more protein. The fillets tip the scales at a sizeable 103g a piece, each providing 20g of protein, 4g of fat, and just 4g of net carbohydrates.
As mentioned, Breaded Chicken Fillets are very similar to Real Good Foods nuggets and strips in both recipe and nutrition, and if the taste is as on point, they’re going to be immensely enjoyable. The macros are the key highlight as if you throw down two of these on a regular bum, you get close to 50g of protein and half that in carbohydrates, a fairly lean and balanced meal. The product looks to be rolling out to stores soon if not already, and you get plenty of servings per bag at five full-size fillets.
