Ghost announced at the beginning of the year that it had reworked its hydration and performance-supporting beverage, the Ghost Hydration Drink, aiming to make it an all-around better product. The new version made its debut down under in Australia before anywhere else in the world, and it gave us an early look at what would eventually make its way here to the US. The formula is very much the same, with a robust blend of electrolytes, a full-dosage of the powerhouse Senactiv, zero sugar, and low calories.
The more notable differences in the renewed Ghost Hydration Drink are that it offers an even better, more enjoyable taste and a switch to a mostly black design with vibrant colors filling the flavor callout portion of the label. When the beverage began to hit shelves in Australia, the two-time Brand Of The Year did say it would eventually bring the refreshed sports drink to the US. It looks like that is about to happen, judging by a teaser Ghost has put out, although the menu is not going to be the same.

The Australian Ghost Hydration Drink, in its primarily black branding, comes in Blue Raspberry, Orange Squeeze, Lemon Lime, and Kiwi Strawberry. The teaser Ghost has put out into the world shows off four flavors of its updated sports drink, but it appears as though only two are the same. Looking closely at the short clip from the brand, we can see Orange Squeeze and Kiwi Strawberry, and what are going to be two completely new flavors for the Ghost Hydration Drink in Strawbango and Welch’s Grape.
We could be wrong on the Orange Squeeze; however, we can clearly read Strawbango and Welch’s Grape Ghost Hydration Drink. The former is interesting, as you may remember it from one of the many collaborations Ghost did with Maxx Chewning in Strawberry Margarita for a whole host of supplements and its energy drink. The brand has put plenty of effort into the relaunch of its Hydration Drink, and you can expect more details soon as it doesn’t usually waste time between teaser and launch.
