Not only is Myprotein home to a host of health and nutrition supplements, like protein powders, carbohydrate solutions, amino acids, and various vitamins, but it also has a great selection of functional and ordinary foods. Included in that long list of healthy foods is nut butter, with peanut, almond, and cashew bases, in the traditional consistencies, smooth and crunchy. New to the family this month is a chocolate variant of that product to add a rich chocolate taste to the experience.
Myprotein’s newly released Choc Nut Butter isn’t a high-protein functional innovation or anything like that; similar to the peanut, almond, and cashew butter it sells, it’s simply a nut butter with the twist of a rich chocolate flavor. It is made from a blend of different nuts in peanuts, cashews, and hazelnuts, shea butter, and cocoa butter for the chocolatey taste, and in a standard 30g serving, you get 9.4g of carbohydrates, just under 4g of sugar, 12.6g of fat, 5.4g of protein, and 176 calories.
There is added sugar in Myprotein’s Choc Nut Butter, but the macros are still relatively typical for nut butter, ensuring the international company keeps things somewhat clean and nutritious. The product comes in a bulk bucket with 400g of chocolate-flavored nut butter, and as with most items available from the brand, the cost of Choc Nut Butter is nice and competitive at £6.99 (8.80 USD).
