Legacy sports nutrition company, MET-Rx has been in the business of supplements and health longer than almost every other competitor out there. It has moved into functional foods quite a bit over the last few years with its various bars and snacks, of which it has something completely new for here at this year’s Arnold Sports Festival. Similar to some other protein snacking brands out there, MET-Rx has done a chip-style product, introducing the light and crispy MET-Rx Popped Crisps.
The latest innovation from the long-running brand is similar to Popped Crisps from MET-Rx’s sister brand Pure Protein, although the nutrition on this is the more traditional 20g of protein per bag. Alongside that protein is an almost equal 22g of carbohydrates, a gram of fiber, 3g of sugar, and a sizeable 14g of fat that helps push the calories up to 290. That remains the same across all of the flavors for MET-Rx Popped Crisps, including Screamin’ Sour Cream & Onion and Kick’s Sweet Chili.
MET-Rx is showing off and selling its all-new chip protein snack at the Arnold Sports Festival at its booth or group of booths, at the back of the Columbus Convention Center, alongside FitCrunch and Pure Protein. It’s tough to miss any of the brands, as they each have floating aerial banners above their spots plus they have some fun and interactive activation at their booths.
