Kudo has followed through on its hype and what we suspected it was bringing to market with a whole new look, feel, and experience of its signature protein snack, the Kudo Protein Popcorn. The company has officially rebranded, moving into a more uniform design, where regardless of the flavor of the flagship product, the background theme is a vibrant yellow. There are some color accents matching each of the flavors in a classic stripe design, but it is the yellow that’s loud and consistent throughout.
Inside the bag of Kudo Protein Popcorn is where more changes and refinements have taken place, and we have to admit, the brand has done a great job at not just saying the snack is better but actually providing a bit of insight as to what it’s done. Kudo’s high-protein popcorn has been reworked with a whole new mushroom kernel, which results in a larger outer area or surface area, offering more crunch in every bite and more room for the flavor to be present and enjoyed as you chow down handful by handful.
Another big difference with the relaunched Kudo and its Protein Popcorn is sizes; as we suspected from its teaser graphics, there are small and larger offerings. The brand now has a traditional 2oz bag and a double-sized 4oz, for those that want twice the protein in a single sitting. The macros are even better in protein, where a 2oz bag has 60% more protein at 16g, 16 to 20g of carbohydrates, 4g or less sugar, 18 to 22g of fat, and 300 calories, and you can double all of that for the 4oz packs.
While a lot of things have changed with Kudo Protein Popcorn, from the look and shape to the eating experience and nutrition, the team has kept its original menu. The same three flavors as before, are available for the refreshed protein snack in Salty Sweet Kettle Korn, Garlic Parmesan, and White Cheddar. You can get them all directly from Kudo’s online store for as low as $3.33 per 2oz pack in the bundle of 12, or if you want the bigger 4oz and its 32g of protein, you’re looking at $3.83 each for 12.
