Axe and Sledge improves its amino with 20% more EAAs and absorption enhancing AstraGin

Axe Sledge Updated 2025 Grind

One of the first-ever sports nutrition products Axe and Sledge Supplements ever brought to market was the amino acid cocktail The Grind, packed full of EAAs and BCAAs to maximize muscle recovery and performance while sipping on it throughout your workout. In 2025, the brand from Seth Feroce has decided to rework The Grind, similar to what we recently saw from Axe and Sledge for its most potent, high-stimulant pre-workout DBAP, Don’t Be A Pussy.

The changes Axe and Sledge Supplements has made in its evolution of The Grind see a bump in the amount of hydration-supporting electrolytes as well as the total of EAAs. The electrolytes weren’t overly high in the first place, combining for less than 100mg, and they’re still not that high in the reformulation, but they are there at 250mg, 150mg from sodium, and 100mg from potassium.

As for the increased amount of essential amino acids, the previous iteration sat at 7.55g, with 5g BCAAs. The 2025 version of The Grind has boosted to 9g, roughly 20% more, with 6g of BCAAs now and 3g coming from the other six EAAs. It is worth noting the overall amino count is down, as Axe and Sledge Supplements has taken out the 2.5g of glutamine and gram of ornithine, as well as betaine, although there is also now AstraGin at 25mg a serving to help your body better absorb the EAAs, leading to higher efficacy.

The refreshed The Grind stays true to Axe and Sledge Supplements’ original amino acid cocktail, providing a solid set of essential amino acids, or EAAs, to improve muscle recovery with some tweaks and changes for better hydration support and greater results thanks to AstraGin. The brand usually drops its latest products on Thursdays; however, this time around, it is shooting for a Tuesday, specifically Tuesday of next week, through its online store in Orange Sherbet, Juicy Nextar, Sour Electric Lime, and Deadlift & Gummy Bears flavors.
