The convenience store giant 7-Eleven stepped things up last year in the world of functional beverages under its house brand 7-Select, with the multi-benefit Fusion Energy Drink. The product has an incredibly intricate formula, including premium ingredients like CellFlo6, Chromax, CognatiQ, standard components like BCAAs, vitamins, and the nootropic alpha-gpc, and 200mg of caffeine. Another beverage the retailer recently brought to market was Rehydrate, and now there is 7-Select Rehydrate Zero.
The original Rehydrate is an electrolyte-powered sports drink built to support hydration, performance, and recovery, and that is the same case for 7-Eleven’s all-new 7-Select Rehydrate Zero. The key difference with the Zero spin-off is very similar to most other products in the health and nutrition industry with the same word attachment. Rehydrate Zero is a sugarless version with significantly lower calories, the same five essential electrolytes, and all of the same non-carbohydrate-related benefits.
Zero sugar has been a core part of the world of health, sports, and nutrition supplements and has become an integral part of the functional beverage space. It is now commonplace for newcomers to energy drinks and hydration to have no sugar as a baseline, and that trend continues with 7-Eleven’s evolution into 7-Select Rehydrate Zero, offering the same core experience without the sugar. The product is out now in stores in three fruity flavors: Orange, Kiwi Strawberry, and Fruit Punch.
