Protella debuts a protein bar featuring a Kinder Bueno build but with protein and low sugar

Protella Joes Protein Bar

The innovative functional company Protella, which has dipped into the world of sports nutrition supplements on a few occasions with protein powder and some tasty creatine competitors, has dropped more for its snacking department, introducing Joe’s Protein Bar. This is the first bar-style offering from the European brand, although this is not your typical protein bar, even more so since Protella hasn’t been in the space before. Joe’s Protein Bar is actually a Kinder Bueno-like item but without loads of sugar and much better protein.

Protella’s Joe’s Protein Bar features four bulky pieces interconnected with thinner bridges that all combine together to make a mouthwatering treat. The most delicious part about the innovation is that inside those chunk parts of the product is a creamy filling which does vary in taste depending on the one you grab. Joe’s Protein Bar may look like a traditional full-size entry; however, it is definitely on the lighter side, tipping the scales at 25g a piece with about 4g of protein, almost 10g of carbohydrates, close to that in fat at 8g, between a gram or two of sugar, and all ending on a very reasonable calorie count foar the experience of 116.

The macro balance isn’t anything like a Barebells Protein Bar or Grenade Protein Bar, but it is fair for a protein snack or craving-crushing better-for-you treat. There are three flavors to choose from, all looking absolutely tasty in Chocolate and White Chocolate, both packed full of gooey peanut butter down the center, and Hazelnut with a hazelnut filling, which also has an alternative name in Charlie’s Protein Bar. You can grab them straight from protella.com at €1.50 or go big and get a box of 30 at €40.50 (42.08 USD).
