Pitbull Labs is a supplement company from several years ago, eventually being discontinued, but it built a name for itself back in the day, offering effective sports nutrition products paired with great taste and eye-catching marketing. As per the name, it was themed around a pitbull, from graphics to naming, with supplements like Pedigree and ISOBite, and it even sampled what was the most potent pre-workout it ever came out with, in XXX, in small dog food like tins that it called XXX Doggy Chow.
As mentioned, Pitbull Labs was phased out at some point, although after all this time and to close out 2024, the colorful supplement company has returned, and it is hitting many of the categories it originally did with a pre-workout and amino cocktail. The returning brand has relaunched with Draco the pre-workout, the amino product simply named Aminos, and an unflavored, electrolyte and AstraGin-infused creatine. As per usual, we’ll break down the pre-workout to get an idea of the renewed Pitbull and how it’s looking to compete.
Pitbull Labs sticks to a reliable set of ingredients in its long-awaited return to the pre-workout space and supplement industry as a whole, with Draco not disappointing on variety and dosages. The brand has opted for many of the usual suspects, with straight citrulline for pumps at 6g a serving, the usual 3.2g of beta-alanine and 2.5g of betaine, and 1.5g of tyrosine and a gram of choline for mental focus.
The Draco pre-workout does have a few other components that aren’t so common, including 250mg of premium RhodioPrime rhodiola, and for a strong hit of intensity, there is 150mg of theobromine and the yohimbine duo of yohimbine at 1mg and the hard-hitting alpha-yohimbine at a potent 3mg. Being a well-rounded pre-workout, Pitbull Labs does, of course, have caffeine in there at a combined 450mg, 375mg of that coming from the standard, ever-present caffeine anhydrous and 75mg from di-caffeine malate.
You can see the facts panel for Pitbull Labs Draco in the image above, and if you’re at all interested in trying the newcomer or resurrected brand, you can do so through its online store at pitbullsupps.com. The pre-workout is priced up in the area of a premium offering at $49.99 for a tub of 20 maximum servings, with Aminos at $39.99 and Creatine at $24.99 for a tub of 45 servings. We look forward to seeing where the team takes it from here, especially with a respectably formulated pre-workout and a nice flair of creativity in the creatine product.
