Protein Pints gives you a higher 30g of protein in a tasty pot of ice cream

Introducing Protein Pints

When the frozen functional specialist Halo Top was on the rise, so was the entire space; we saw a few companies take an interest in the concept of protein in cold treats like ice cream, and even supplement brands got in on the action. In more recent months, we’ve come across new entries in the frozen food aisle infused with protein, and that’s what we’ve got here today, introducing Protein Pints, which gets straight to the point; its premier product is a pint of ice cream packed full of protein.

Protein Pints come with a respectable level of protein powered by high-end whey isolate, more than a scoop of protein powder at 30g in a full-size, deliciously creamy pint of ice cream. The other macros aren’t too bad either, resulting in a calorie count that is on par with the likes of a tub of Halo Top but with much more protein. The carbohydrates are up there, although the net count brings it down a lot to a total of around 50g, between 6 to 12g of that sugar, and the fat gets as low as 16g.

Introducing Protein Pints

The calories do range a fair bit, primarily due to the fat varying between each of the flavors. The classic tastes of Chocolate and Vanilla are nice and low at 375 and 360, respectively; however, if you step into the non-traditional world of Strawberry and Peanut Butter, you go over 400. In the sweet strawberry experience, the carbohydrates and fat go up, taking it to 405 calories, then the smooth Peanut Butter goes way beyond that with 30g of fat and 75g of carbs, pushing through to 555 calories in a single pint.

On paper, the Chocolate and Vanilla Protein Pints, and even the Strawberry, are reasonable, mostly due to the extra high 30g of protein, since most functional ice creams sit between 15 to 20g. Here, you get more without much impact on the calories, and the brand is gradually growing its product into more places you shop for that sort of thing.

You can find Protein Pints and its high-protein ice cream at Meijer, Grand Rapids Gym, and Capital City Market in Michigan, to name a few. The brand’s reach is limited to that state, but it looks as though that is about to change moving into the New Year. Protein Pints has revealed it is preparing for a nationwide rollout and has manufactured half a million units in preparation. More details on that should be shared soon, and it will be a major move for the company, getting it in front of significantly more people.
