Details got out on an entirely new pre-workout last week from the legacy brand Dymatize, called Energyze, featuring a formula a little closer to Optimum Nutrition’s legendary AmiNO Energy, more so than your traditional pre-workout. The few details that we could confirm at the time included support for pumps, focus, energy, and recovery, and we did suspect that with the serving size it had, that would be all you’d be getting in Dymatize’s return to the highly competitive category.
We’ve got a look at the facts panel for Dymatize’s Energyze pre-workout, directly below, and as you can see, there isn’t anything else involved in the supplement beyond those five previously confirmed components. Every serving of the relatively short and sweet product has 4g of straight citrulline to support muscle pumps, half a gram of tyrosine for the focus side of things, 5g of BCAAs to improve and enhance muscle recovery and repair, and the classic pairing of theanine and caffeine for smooth, lasting energy.
It is worth noting that Dymatize has gone with natural caffeine for its Energyze pre-workout, at a dosage of 150mg from green coffee berry. Altogether, it is a very straightforward supplement, having one of the simplest formulas you’ll find in a pre-workout plus the added recovery benefit of the BCAAs. The big question with this sort of thing was always going to price, as an extremely expensive product is justified if it has a lot of ingredients and high dosages, and a basic supplement is worth it if it’s cheap.
Dymatize has officially launched its Energyze pre-workout in three places, three of the biggest that is, in Walmart, Target, and the online giant Amazon. All three locations have the product at $29 for a tub of 30 servings, which puts it right around the army of stacked cost-effective pre-workouts like Raw Nutrition’s Essential Pre-Workout and even Huge’s loaded Wrecked Core. There are three flavors to choose from for Energyze, all fruity, in Strawberry Lemonade, Lemon Lime, and Peach Mango.
