Mimir is the competitor from the Swedish powerhouse Viking Power, which won our International Brand Of The Year award in 2023 in dominating fashion. Following on from the brand’s recent rework of its nighttime offering, Ymir, with more GABA and added TheaGreen, it has tweaked and relaunched Mimir, dropping a few components but making up for that with increases and additions. Most of the main features have remained, and the core goal is still to enhance focus and cognition.
Viking Power’s refreshed Mimir has removed two things, both due to rules and regulations; firstly, theanine is no longer in the mix, and with the uncertain situation surrounding ashwagandha, specifically in Scandinavia, that has been removed too. Secondly, we have the changes to make up for the losses and then some, with 50% more of the nootropic tyrosine, bringing it to 1.5g a serving, an added full dose of premium and proven Brainberry at 65mg, and Astragin in place of BioPerine for greater absorption.
The differences between the original Mimir and the sequel are minor, although noteworthy nonetheless, especially since Brainberry and AstraGin are now the only other high-end branded components outside of the Palatinose. The rest of the supplement remains intact, including the likes of acetyl-l-carnitine at half a gram, 100mg of phosphatidylserine, and a moderate 150mg of caffeine for a touch of energy.
Viking Power immensely proved itself last year, showing that despite its international status, it can put together products on par with the best in the world, and even more importantly, it can release at a frequency greater than the majority of competitors in the US market. The reworked nootropic Mimir is another sign of its relentless effort to stay ahead and on top, making changes just a year and a half after the supplement came to market, and it is already in stock over at MM Sports.
