Tyngre shows some Christmas spirit in the form of a holiday-themed flavor of Protein Gröt

Tyngre Tomtegrot

Protein Gröt is another signature supplement from the team at Tyngre in Sweden, alongside its more traditional protein offerings, Vassle Protein and Kasein Protein: Whey Protein and Casein Protein. Gröt basically translates to porridge, the traditional oatmeal breakfast, and with the first part of its name being protein, it indeed has added protein thanks to its milk protein infusion. We’re putting the spotlight on that particular product as for the upcoming holiday season, Tyngre has crafted a special edition flavor.

Now available directly through its online store, the retailer and brand has a flavor called Tomtegröt, which as you may have just learned does translate to something “porridge”. Tomte is actually a reference to a Christmassy, almost Santa-like mythological figure from Nordic folklore, so think of this kind of like Santa’s Porridge, although officially it’s Tomte porridge. The flavors involved in the product are a smooth vanilla base with a spice of cinnamon, making for a suitable breakfast blend as well as a Christmas drop.

The nutrition profile of the limited-time Christmas offering is in line with the other flavors of Tyngre’s Protein Gröt, with a blend of oatmeal and milk protein providing 20g of protein per serving, 34g of carbohydrates, around 2g of sugar, 3.9g of fat, and 257 calories. The product comes complete with a Christmassy packaging design, and you can grab it at tyngre.se at 139 SEK (13.14 USD) for a full-size bag.
