The Supplement Review and NXT confirm Pure Whey’s protein is from whey and free form aminos

Supplement Review And Nxt Aminos For Protein

The Supplement Review is an influencer and, as per the name, a reviewer in the world of health and nutrition in the United Kingdom. He recently shared a piece of information that we genuinely didn’t know, about a brand in his part of the world by the name of NXT Nutrition. The team at NXT sent The Supplement Review a bottle of its protein powder Pure Whey Deluxe, and when he looked into the product and reached out for more information, he learned something about where the protein comes from.

On the front of NXT Nutrition’s Pure Whey and Pure Whey Deluxe protein powders, it says 5g of BCAAs and 5g of glutamine alongside the amount of protein: 24g in the former and 22.5g in the latter. Both supplements do have those specific aminos added to their formulas, so there are BCAAs and glutamine that come from the various whey proteins that are in there, as well as free-form aminos. The important detail The Supplement Review has shared, and it’s something that NXT confirmed to him, is that the whey protein and various amino acids are counted together to provide that 24 or 22.5g of protein per serving.

Nxt Nutrition Pure Whey Amino Acids To Protein

NXT Nutrition doesn’t list exactly how much protein the whey sources and the aminos are providing of the 24g of protein in Pure Whey and 22.5g in Pure Whey Deluxe, only that it is from the combination. You can see an example of protein transparency in some other competitors out there, where, say, you get 25g of protein per serving, and it’s outlined as 15g from whey isolate and 10g from concentrate. In this situation, you have whey isolate, concentrate, hydrolyzed whey, glutamine, and BCAAs providing it all.

Another interesting detail is on NXT Nutrition’s website; it lists the amount of protein per serving on a “dry basis.” We have explained this in detail before and it is a very important thing to look out for, as “dry basis” is basically the protein powder dehydrated, with all of the moisture removed not “as is”. This tends to bring down the overall weight, in turn increasing the concentration of the macros, commonly by around 5%.
