The Celsius Essentials energy drink is a different sort of experience compared to the beverage that the brand built its name around. It offers a more performance-style set of benefits with a variety of vitamins and minerals, aminos to support muscle recovery, and a much higher hit of caffeine at 270mg for a strong level of energy. The product debuted in four flavors with Cherry Limeade, Orangesicle, Blue Crush, and Dragonberry, which were eventually joined by two more in Mango Tango and Fruit Burst.
One year after the initial unveiling of the Celsius Essentials energy drink, the beverage giant has announced two more flavors for its higher caffeine competitor, both refreshing and fruit-based, and offering different experiences compared to the other Essentials options. Due to join the current selection of six separate tastes within the first quarter of next year is Grape Slush and a Watermelon Ice Celsius Essentials energy drink, continuing the theme of zero sugar and low calories at 10 in a 16oz can.
The taste of Celsius Essentials is quite different from the signature Celsius energy drink, being closer to mainstream competitors like Monster Ultra, Ghost Energy, and even the popular sports nutrition original, Bang Energy. We’ve had them all, and they’re much more enjoyable for us than any flavor of the star Celsius beverage, and we imagine the newest two — Grape Slush and Watermelon Ice — continue that.
