Latitude 65 is known for its beverages, specifically its signature energy drink in its home country of Sweden, and it is available all over the place, from quick and accessible convenience stores to big box retailers and giant supermarkets. There are several flavors available for that flagship offering, although the latest news from the functional company isn’t to do with beverages of any sort; in fact, it’s quite the opposite, as Latitude 65 is coming out with its first-ever edible item in a protein bar.
The all-new Latitude 65 Protein Bar features a candy bar-style build, like almost every other protein bar competitor in Sweden, with a somewhat soft and smooth main body. The protein is on the lighter side at 15 to 16g, although it is worth noting the bar itself tips the scales at a more moderate, snack-sized, 45g a piece. Most bars sit up in the area of 50 to 60g, so while that 16g may seem lower than you’d want, the balance is there, as if you scale it up and eat 60g worth, you do get 20g of protein.
There is no added sugar in any of the four flavors of the Latitude 65 Protein Bar, and those options are Cookies & Cream, Hazelnut Nougat, a sweet Strawberry & Cream, and lastly, one of the most common protein bar combinations in Peanut Caramel. By the sounds of things, the Latitude 65 innovation is making its way out to stores this month, and it’ll be interesting to see how it does, especially since the brand is known for its beverages, not bars, nor is it known for high protein.
