Introducing Wellth Foods and its grain-free high-protein pasta made from yellow pea

Wellth Foods

We’re big fans of functional food companies, especially when they do things to set themselves apart and stand out, and that is what you get at the newcomer Wellth Foods. The world of functional snacks and foods has plenty of space to be creative and innovative, turning all sorts of formats into better-for-you products. The team at Wellth has done precisely that with a family of grain-free pasta made primarily with yellow peas, leading to a much higher dose of protein than typical pasta.

Wellth Foods has three products to choose from in the plain Original Rotini, Spinach Rotini, which is made with a combination of yellow pea and spinach, and then finally, Beetroot Rotini, all high in protein and featuring pasta in the traditional spiral shape. They come in bulk boxes of 12oz or 340g of pasta for you to have by itself or blend in with other ingredients for a protein-packed, vegan-friendly meal or an even higher-protein feast with added meats like chicken or beef.

Wellth Foods

The nutrition profiles of Wellth Foods’ various yellow pea-based pastas are exactly the same across all options; Original Rotini, Spinach Rotini, and Beetroot Rotini. In a standard 56g serving of the product, you get 12g of protein, plenty of carbohydrates at 36g, 1.5g of fat, and 200 calories. The protein is higher than your classic spiral pasta, although, as you can see, you still get a good amount of carbohydrates, triple the protein to be exact, so you may want to add protein source if you want to balance things out.

You can take a closer look at everything available from Wellth Foods at wellth-foods.com, where boxes of the higher protein foods cost $7.95 (5.85 USD) for a single box of about six servings or so when going off of the 56g serving. There are bundles available for you to save a bit of money, including a variety pack with one of each variant at $6.95 a piece, and to bring it down just a pinch more, there is the six-piece variety bundle with two of each at a combined $39.95, working out to $6.65 each.
