Gorilla Mode Lightning has arrived and it is as beastly as we anticipated, even more so after hearing the higlhights the brand let out early, in 13.5g of tyrosine, half a gram of eria jarensis, and 550mg of straight caffeine. Lightning is a high-powered, stimulant-heavy pre-workout from Gorilla Mind, separate from its mainstream competitor Gorilla Mode and the more cost-effective Gorilla Mode Base, as well as a significant step up from the previous product the brand had in this direction with Gorilla Mode High-Stim.
The most interesting point about Gorilla Mode Lightning that while its focus is high energy and intense focus, the classic effects of a stimulant-heavy pre-workout, it also touches a bit on muscle pumps. In that area it has pure citrulline at a hefty 8g and 4g of betaine, with a touch of hydration in there too with a gram of the quality electrolyte source, pink Himalayan salt. Everything else Gorilla Mind has thrown into Lightning is for potent energy and focus, and it has all of the tools necessary to achieve that.
Gorilla Mode Lightning does indeed pack 13.5g of tyrosine in its maximum two-scoop serving, with 800mg of alpha-gpc and 400mcg of huperzine a to further drive focus, clarity and cognition, then you get into the deep support of stimulants. Taking care of that is the 550mg of caffeine, mostly from caffeine anhydrous and a bit of di-caffeine malate, 500mg of eria jarensis, and 1.5mg of alpha yohimbine.
The one final star highlight of Gorilla Mind’s highly-anticipated Gorilla Mode Lightning is its own innovation, Synaptrix. This is an ingredient or version of an ingredient specific and exclusive to the brand itself, similar to its appetite reducing creation Apelyne found in the supplement of the same name. Synaptrix is dosed in Lightning at a gram a serving and it is something we have seen in other products with catuaba extract at a 10:1 standardization to help elevate dopamine levels even further.
Gorilla Mode Lightning is avialable for purchase directly through Gorilla Mind’s online store and while we expected it to land somewhere in and around Gorilla Mode, that is not the case. The price on a tub of 20 servings is $64.99, $5 more than Gorilla Mode and even Gorilla Mode Nitric, making it the brand’s most expensive pre-workout to date. To be fair, it is worth that price with everything that’s in there and intense experience it’ll provide, with two flavors to choose from in Bombsicle and Blue Raspberry.
