Hardcore supplement company Steel has had a few peri-workout style products over the years, including the carbohydrate and electrolyte combination Hyperade and the original powerhouse, the absolutely loaded muscle-building performance formula ADAbolic. This week, Hyperbolic has been brought to market; another hugely advanced peri-workout reminiscent of the original ADAbolic with ingredients for endurance, strength, power, and recovery; it’s essentially everything you need to get the most out of your workout.
The maximum serving size on Steel Supplements’ Hyperbolic is an eye-watering 104g, and while some of that is carbohydrates and protein, that is less than half of the breakdown. The protein sits at 20g a serving, all from high-quality whey isolate, and the carbohydrates from potato and rice are a bit higher than that at 24g. There is no fat with a calorie count of 200, but again, there is significantly more to this than the macronutrients.
Accompanying the protein and carbohydrates in Hyperbolic is a host of pump-powering components, enough to rival an actual pump pre-workout in a huge 12g of citrulline, 6g of GlycerSize glycerol, 1.5g of agmatine, a blend called NO7, 5g of betaine, and premium VasoDrive at 508mg. Helping further performance, Steel Supplements has 4g of beta-alanine, the proven elevATP at 150mg, electrolytes, and a complete 5g dose of creatine monohydrate, plus gymnema to improve glucose uptake and AstraGin to enhance absorption of the formula.
There is a list of amino acids at the bottom of the facts panel for Steel Supplements’ peri-workout Hyperbolic, although we’re pretty certain that’s the amino profile from the 20g of protein, as they all total over 20g, and there isn’t any more room in a 104g serving after everything else is counted. As mentioned, this is a peri-workout, and for those unfamiliar with the term, it is something that can be used and be beneficial before, during, and after your workout due to its ability to support performance, pumps, hydration, and recovery.
It was rare back in the day when Steel Supplements introduced its peri-workout ADAbolic, and that was actually one of the products that helped put the hardcore sports nutrition competitor on the map. This sort of supplement is still incredibly uncommon, something only a handful offer, but Hyperbolic has really taken everything up a notch in terms of formula. Steel’s latest innovation is hands down one of the most stacked peri-workouts or intra-workouts we’ve seen, and it is incredibly pricey at $175 for a bottle of 20 full servings.
