The high-protein, low-carbohydrate Quest Protein Brownies are just half of Quest Nutrition’s all-new and delicious-looking Bake Shop Collection. As the name suggests, it is a line of bakery treat-inspired products, and further driving that strategy is the other innovation in the series with Quest Protein Muffins. It takes the familiar food format in the title and injects it with extra protein and at the same time, like the brownies, it keeps the sugar, carbohydrates, and calories to a minimum.
Quest Nutrition’s Bake Shop Series Quest Protein Muffins look as soft and fluffy as homemade muffins, and for an authentic muffin experience, each of its two flavors is filled with delicious little pieces. The options fans have to choose from for the second Bake Shop innovation are Chocolate Chip and, for a touch of fruity sweetness, Blueberry. The former is indeed made with actual chocolate chips for bites of rich chocolate throughout the muffin, and the latter has blueberries.
The nutrition profile on Quest Nutrition’s tasty new protein muffins is impressive, especially when you know the macros you typically get in a muffin. The numbers vary slightly between the Chocolate Chip and Blueberry flavors, but only in the carbohydrates and fat; the protein and calories are identical. The nutrition in the Quest Protein Muffins is 10g of protein, just like the Bake Shop Brownies, 21 to 22g of carbohydrates with 2 to 3g of that net carbs, 11 to 12g of fat, and a calorie count of 200.
On paper, the other half of Quest Nutrition’s Bake Shop Series looks great, and in pictures, it appears to have the soft and fluffy consistency you want in a muffin. It all comes down to how it actually tastes and crumbles, and while that would be a gamble a lot of the time, the brand we’ve got here has not missed in more recent years. If you’d like to give the muffins a try or the decadent brownies, they are all now available over on Amazon, with a pack of eight muffins at $17.76 and ten brownies are $22.20.
