Nick’s adds a more snack-sized product to its sustainable Saved Series of functional foods

Nicks Saved Crunchy Caramel Bites

Nick’s is a Swedish functional food innovator that has extensive availability across Scandinavia as well as here in the US with some genuinely intriguing, better-for-you, and delicious products. Under the Nick’s banner are various individual and families of items, including the Saved Series, which is actually quite an interesting one. The lone protein bar in the line is made using leftovers and offcuts from its own production runs, hence the name of the line “Saved”.

There is now a second product available from Nick’s and its sustainable Saved Series, with Crunchy Caramel Bites. While the other item in the collection is a full-sized protein bar, the extension is in the same bar format but more of a snack-sized high-protein food. Basically, it is a bag of single-bite bar pieces that tip the scales at just 15g, and like the other entry in the line, this is also sustainably made with leftovers and offcuts that would be otherwise disposed of.

The nutrition profile on Nick’s Saved Crunchy Caramel Bites isn’t overly lean, although still healthy and better-for-you with 2g of protein a piece, 4.2g of carbohydrates just a gram of sugar, 4,8g of fat, and a lean and low 64 calories. The build on the product looks absolutely delicious with a combination of crunchy nuts, gooey caramel, and a dense base, wrapped in chocolate, and keeping with the theme of the series, the snack is exclusive to Motatos and Matsmart.
