Newcomers to the functional food space are always interesting and entertaining to see, as they almost always bring creative and alternative approaches, whether that is in the form of the shape, size, build, or taste of the product. Europe is where you get the best protein snacks and treats in the world; in fact, our top five protein bars are all from that region, and this month, we’ve got a newcomer to the functional space by way of Heroic Snacks and Rising Protein Cookie.
Heroic Snacks is currently getting ready for its big debut, and its star high-protein product is the Rising Protein Cookie. There are plenty of cookies on the market that have a bit of protein in them, although they tend to have that same dense protein bar consistency but are in the shape of a cookie. In Europe that is not the case, as you tend to get actual soft, crumbly cookies in some addictive flavors, and we expect that to be the case in Heroic’s first-ever snacking innovation.
The Rising Protein Cookie is made primarily with milk protein as well as pea protein for its 12g of protein per piece, alongside other main ingredients like the popular sweetener maltitol, brown sugar, ground oats, and coconut oil. The rest of the nutrition profile following on from the 12g of protein breaks down to 20g of carbohydrates, 4g of that sugar, 5.1g of fat, and 178 calories, which is reasonable, giving you a fair amount of protein and keeping the calories under 200.
Again, Heroic Snacks is currently getting ready to release and roll out its baked Rising Protein Cookie, and there will be two flavors to choose from, both dressed in bold and colorful, eye-catching colors with a traditional Savage Chocolate and a surprising Blue Razz. While we’ve seen plenty of chocolate protein cookies, this would be the first to come in the classic pre-workout flavor, blue raspberry, and though neither is available in full-size boxes, you can buy samples.
Through Heroic Snacks’ official online store at risinghero.xyz, you will eventually be able to get the Savage Chocolate and Blue Razz Rising Protein Cookies in boxes of 12 at £23.99, but until then, there is a sample pack with one of each flavor at £6. It’s not a great deal compared to the bulk bundle of 12, working out to £2; however, it’s a small price to pay to sample and give the newcomer a try.
