Australian brand CMBT makes a second plant protein bar featuring a more flavor-first experience

Cmbt Plant Protein Chocolate Layered Bar

CMBT in Australia already has all sorts of categories covered with its extensive selection of products, including protein snacking with the CMBT Reload Protein Bar, providing a robust 20g of muscle-building protein in Coconut Rough, Salted Caramel, and Lemon Macadamia flavors. The product itself is almond butter based and relies on pumpkin seed, pea, and sacha inchi for its protein plus enzymes to improve digestion and plant-based probiotics to improve gut health.

Interestingly, CMBT has released a second bar-format protein snack, and while the original was plant-powered and a dairy-based offering, which would make an ideal alternative, the latest from the Australian sports nutrition competitor is plant-based again. The newly released CMBT Plant Protein Chocolate Layered Bar is a simpler, flavor-first offering that doesn’t have the complex extras of Reload like Curcumin C3 for inflammation, electrolytes, probiotics, and fermented BCAAs.

CMBT Plant Protein Chocolate Layered Bar features a candy bar-type build with a dense base and a gooey layer across the top, all wrapped in delicious chocolate. The functional food relies entirely on pea protein for its slightly lighter amount of protein per piece at 15g, with small bits and pieces throughout the item, including peanuts and crispy protein pieces. Keeping with that rich candy theme, there are three tasty-sounding options in Chocolate Peanut Butter, Salted Caramel Crunch, and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

According to the brand behind the product, the CMBT Plant Protein Chocolate Layered Bar won’t be around for long, although it didn’t say anything about the innovation being limited, so we imagine it’s in reference to stock levels running out. You can get your hands on the protein bar directly through the brand’s online store at cmbt.com.au, where a box of a dozen pieces will cost you $60 (40.10 USD) for any of the three flavors, working out to a reasonable $5 each.
