The energy drink craze is spreading throughout the world and not just here in North America where you have giants that continue to grow and dominate in the likes of Monster, Ghost Energy, Cellucor’s family of C4 beverages, and RYSE Fuel. Over in Brazil, sports supplement company 3VS Nutrition has joined in on the fun and introduced Prohibido Fuel, and like other brands of its type that are tackling the space, it has taken a more advanced approach as opposed to a common simple set of ingredients.
Filling out the formula in 3VS Nutrition’s all-new energy drink or, more appropriately, pre-workout beverage, Prohibido Fuel, is a gram of taurine, a variety of B vitamins, the performance-enhancing beta-alanine at 2g, 3g of arginine, and half a gram of the nootropic tyrosine. Creatine is in there as well at 1.5g, although as most supplement connoisseurs will know, creatine is wildly unstable in solution, and finally, the ever-reliable caffeine at play for some uplifting energy at 200mg in a full-size 16oz can.
In combination with the energy, focus, and performance-supporting ingredients, 3VS Nutrition has kept the nutrition to a fair level in Prohibido Fuel, where you get about 6g of carbohydrates for a total of 26 calories, which isn’t the lowest we’ve seen but still relatively reasonable. The product is out now in the brand’s home country, and to round out its impressive set of highlights, it has hit the market in a strong six different flavors. Filling out the menu for Prohibido Fuel are classics like Citrus, Green Apple, and Fruit Punch, and unique recipes like Cotton Candy, Bubble Gum, and Strawberry Margarita.
