MetaLab in South Africa just dropped a fresh new flavor of its signature Bridge protein powder, and it was one of its most intriguing and creative to date, with an actual authentic collaboration. The sports nutrition brand got together with the reputable coffee company Terbodore Coffee Roasters for a Terbodore Great Dane Dark Roast flavor of the isolate-powered ISO-Bridge. MetaLab has followed that up with an entirely separate protein product that is incredibly basic.
Naked is the name of the latest MetaLab innovation and it’s been given that title as it is very much that: a naked protein powder. The supplement is a straightforward, unflavored protein product with 26.9g of protein per serving from a blend of whey concentrate and isolate, under 2g of fat, 3g of carbohydrates with 1.4g of that sugar, and 131 calories. The brand does ensure you get optimal digestion too, infusing the basic formula with the DigeZyme enzyme blend.
MetaLab’s unflavored Naked protein powder is ideal for things like functional baking and cooking, smoothies where you don’t want to add anything taste-wise from your source of protein, or even if you’re just after a flavorless protein shake for whatever reason. The price point of Naked is the same as the brand’s flavored blend supplement Bridge at R699 (38.47 USD), but you do get a bit more protein due to the tubs being the same weight and there is no flavoring.
