The plant-based protein snack brand Misfits from the United Kingdom, has become an international success, expanding well beyond its original market, where it most definitely has a powerful presence with its signature protein bar on many shelves in several stores. Misfits has made its way into continents and countries all around the world, although its latest expansion is one of its biggest successes to date as it brings the Misfits Protein Bar into the most competitive market on the planet.
The giant sports nutrition retailer GNC has partnered and brought in Misfits and its flagship functional food, the self-titled Misfits Protein Bar. The product appears to be precisely the same recipe, nutrition, and experience as the original in the United Kingdom, with 15g of plant-powered protein a piece and 190 calories. GNC is carrying three of the many different flavors of the product in Peanut Butter Fudge, Cookie Butter, and Caramel Fudge, which are some of its most US-suited options.
The price tag on a box of the Misfits Protein Bar through GNC is on the high side at $44.99, and that is for a box of 15 pieces, 25% more than the traditional 12, but expensive nonetheless, even compared to Misfits’ own online store that services the United Kingdom where a pack of 15 is £22 (28.42 USD).
