Limitless X16 is the newest pre-workout from Magnum Nutraceuticals in Canada, and while the sports nutrition brand has never been heavily known for its entries into the saturated pre-workout category, its recently released innovation is incredibly impressive on paper. Magnum made sure it stacked this to the brim, packing some serious pumps with highlights like 10g of straight citrulline, not citrulline malate, 4g of betaine, 3.2g of beta-alanine for performance, and several other components for energy and focus.
Further driving the sensory effects of Magnum Nutraceuticals’ Limitless X16 is 300mg of alpha-gpc, 1.5g of tyrosine, a strong 350mg of caffeine, and some premium energy and focus drivers in TeaCrine and the increasingly popular NeuroRush. We were lucky enough to be sent an entire bottle of the supplement and have been putting it through its paces these past few weeks, and while the combination isn’t drastically different from other products we’ve seen, it offers a standout performance in the gym.
Review
Firstly, Limitless X16 has a surprisingly intense punch, and that’s based on our experience with the supplement’s ingredients in other pre-workouts, including higher levels of caffeine. The energy hit you get from this feels much more than a combined 350mg of caffeine, not to mention the fact it’s divided across two sources in anhydrous and natural caffeine. We’re more used to 400mg or so of caffeine, and the energy hit in Limitless X16 comes over you heavier than 400 or even 450mg if we’re really trying to draw comparisons, and it holds strong deep into your workout at a steady level that has barely any fall off.
You do get a good amount of focus, cognition, and alertness in Limitless X16, not quite to the extent of the standout energy, however, more than enough to be noticeable and complement the reliable kick for a one-two hit of energy and focus. The other side of the pre-workout is the muscle pumps, and despite how few ingredients Magnum Nutraceuticals has thrown into this one, it is surprisingly effective in this area. With 10g of pure citrulline and 4g of betaine, you get a noticeably dense and intense pump, and although it isn’t as fast acting as some of the potent pumps in other pre-workouts, it gradually builds to an impressive level.
It is worth mentioning be careful with the serving, as the maximum amount is one scoop, but it needs to be just shy of level to hit the full serving weight of 27g. Slightly more does result in extra caffeine-fueled energy, which isn’t too bad except the citrulline can be bumped up to uncomfortable amounts if you exeprience discomfort when you get up into the area of 12g or more. You can get into that if you have an even mildly-rounded scoop of Limitless X16, and it can creep up on you if you’re casually scooping.
Summary
Magnum Nutraceuticals Limitless X16 is one of the most stacked pre-workouts we’ve seen from a Canadian supplement company in quite some time. With that said, the supplement is still only available in the US, it hasn’t made its way to market in Canada just yet, but it will have a huge impact when it does hit the brand’s home country. The energy and focus are still up there in terms of strength, beating out the majority of pre-workouts that have come across our desk, and don’t forget the reliably intense muscle pumps.
