Life Pro Nutrition has been on a streak as of late, revealing and releasing all sorts of functional food innovations; even though it does have a sports nutrition, traditional supplement side, it has indeed been all about the functional products. Just yesterday, we shared the Spanish brand’s take on the classic crispy and crunchy puff snack Cheetos with the cleverly named Crunchytos, packed with 12g of protein per bag, but there is another drop this week from Life Pro along the same lines as Crunchytos.
Crispy Rings is the second innovation from Life Pro Nutrition here in the second to last week of June, which, like Crunchytos, gets its inspiration and format from a mainstream snack. While the brand didn’t openly say it, if Crunchytos has similarities to Cheetos, then Crispy Rings is a version of another popular chip-style snack in Funyuns. Like that product, Life Pro’s Crispy Rings are small, bite-sized crunchy rings with a spring onion flavor, and in its usual style, it has an infusion of protein.
Life Pro Nutrition’s Crispy Rings are packaged in bags of 60g and provide 12g of protein, the same as Crunchytos, and that is alongside 30g of carbohydrates, a pinch under 5g of that sugar, 10g of fat, and a calorie count of 270. The protein-to-calorie ratio isn’t supremely light, at least next to a protein bar and nowhere near a protein shake, but it’s a nice alternative format for consumers to get extra protein, even more so if you’re a fan of Funyuns, as this is shooting for that experience.
