Doomsday Hardcore is the sequel to Leviathan Labz’ original stimulant-backed pre-workout, and when we say stimulant-backed, it is primarily a stimulant-driven formula featuring a 5.6g non-transparent blend with five of its seven ingredients being for energy and focus. Doomsday seems to be exclusively sold by the UK supplement store Predator Nutrition, and since the product’s debut, it has been hyped incredibly intensely, with the retailer highlighting reviews saying it’s better than the original Jack3d and Craze.
Claims against classic pre-workouts that have not been matched since they were discontinued, is tough to ignore, and we got a lot of questions about Leviathan Labz’ latest pre-workout Doomsday Hardcore, enough that we decided to pick up a handful of the single-serving sample packets. We weren’t quite ready to commit to the regular price of the product at £84.98 (107.40 USD) for a tub of 30 servings, but if it were as good as the feedback says, we would’ve been more than happy to pick a substantial supply.
Review
We used all five of the servings we purchased of Leviathan Labz Doomsday Hardcore and were indeed expecting something along the lines of USP Labs’ legendary Jack3d, where you get a smooth dose of energy but a significantly more intense level of focus and tunnel vision. Unfortunately, despite utilizing the supplement in a variety of workouts, from complex and demanding days to simpler workouts like a high-rep routine or arm day, we did not get anything near the combination of energy and focus we hoped.
There is an energy hit in a single serving of Doomsday Hardcore, nothing too intense, similar to around 250mg of caffeine, or at least what we’d liken to that amount. It’s enough for an uplifting feeling to get you doing more than you may have felt and puts some level of alertness in you. As for the focus side of things, there wasn’t really any tunnel-vision or eye-opening nootropic effect, which is what DMAA era pre-workouts like Jack3d were known for, as well as those from the following AMP citrate and DMHA times.
We ran Doomsday Hardcore alongside a few other pre-workouts that we had from recent reviews like Magnum’s Limitless X16 and Ghost Legend, as well as go-to favorites like Performax’s top-rated Hypermax. They were all stronger in terms of energy and significant steps up in terms of focus. We tend to use comparisons just to make sure there isn’t any tolerance interference, but all of those worked incredibly well and as good as we knew them to be, in turn, leaving Doomsday Hardcore well below our expectations.
Summary
The reviews we had seen in the marketing of Leviathan Labz Doomsday Hardcore definitely got it on our radar, and while we have still yet to see anything that matches the experiences of the likes of Jack3d or Craze, we gave the supplement a shot. It definitely underdelivered for us, well below the energy we were hoping for on every serving we used, and a non-existent focus enhancement, although with all of that said, that is purely our experience from the five samples we purchased straight from Predator Nutrition.
