Near the end of last year, protein cereal specialist Magic Spoon got back into the world of on-the-go protein snacks with Magic Spoon Treats, featuring a familiar Rice Krispies Treats-style build combining a crispy puff main body, a solid and sweet base, and covered in squiggles of flavor. The product is the brand’s second attempt at the popular category and format, and it packs a moderate amount of protein at 11g, mostly from casein, slightly more than that in carbohydrates at 17g, although just 1 to 2g of that is net carbs, and a reasonable 130 calories.
Magic Spoon’s protein bar, Magic Spoon Treats, debuted in two flavors with Marshmallow and Chocolatey Peanut Butter, then earlier this year that menu was doubled thanks to the release of two more tasty options in Blueberry and Double Chocolate. Yet another two flavors have been added to Magic Spoon’s Rice Krispies Treats-like snack in Birthday Cake and Strawberry Milkshake, although you’ll want to get in sooner rather than alter, as both of those extensions are only around for a limited time, and they’re exclusive to a variety pack with two boxes of each.
