Roughly 24 hours after yesterday’s post on the legendary functional food brand Barebells teasing the coming of two completely new protein bars, we have the reveal, and they’re right around our suspicions with one flavor for the brand’s signature product and another for its softer alternative. The taste joining the menu of the flagship Barebells Protein Bar is Sunny Strawberry, and for the Barebells Soft Protein Bar, we’ve got the citrusy dessert-inspired Lemon Cheesecake.
The delicious-sounding and limited-edition Sunny Strawberry Barebells Protein Bar features a strawberry-flavored main body with a hint of lemon, another layer of smooth strawberry across the top, and covered in white chocolate with 20g of protein, 17g of carbohydrates, 8g of fat, and 205 calories. As for the Lemon Cheesecake Soft Protein Bar, that one comes with a lemon cheesecake-tasting base, a lemony layer that’s both sweet and soft, and also a coating of white chocolate, all providing a slightly lighter 16g of protein, 18g of carbohydrates, 9g of fat, and a similar 202 calories.
The signature Barebells Protein Bar is still our number-one-rated bar format protein snack in the world, something Sunny Strawberry undoubtedly only furthers, and Lemon Cheesecake is equally as exciting, expanding the quickly increasing menu of the softer, lower protein, and not as sweet Barebells Soft Protein Bar. Both Sunny Strawberry and Lemon Cheesecake are rolling out to stores across the brand’s local Swedish market, with neighboring countries to follow.
