It wasn’t that long ago that sports nutrition powerhouse MuscleTech brought its hybrid testosterone booster to market by way of AlphaTest Thermo, featuring ingredients to naturally boost testosterone as AlphaTest is known for, and enhance weight loss. Less than a year later, the brand has an even better version of the dual-category supplement in AlphaTest Thermo XTR, which takes almost everything from the original and adds to it with a few other quality ingredients.
MuscleTech’s AlphaTest Thermo XTR carries over all of the same weight loss-specific ingredients, including carnitine tartrate and premium aXivite, but pumps up the grains of paradise, switching from standard to CaloriBurn, and doubling the dose to 40mg. In the testosterone-boosting department, the supplement brings over almost all of the same components with 10mg of boron and 50% more longjack at 75mg, but it does leave behind the classic fenugreek.
While the consistencies between AlphaTest Thermo and AlphaTest Thermo XTR are great, there are a few key features that make the upcoming product a more premium offering. MuscleTech has added a full and effective 600mg of KSM-66 ashwagandha to Thermo XTR, known for its ability to improve weight loss, recovery, performance, hormone health, testosterone, and stress.
The other major change in MuscleTech’s AlphaTest Thermo XTR is the switch of energy source, as the spin-off does not rely on caffeine anhydrous to increase and elevate energy. Thermo XTR utilizes the innovative Enfinity paraxanthine, an ingredient MuscleTech was first to market with in its pre-workout EuphoriQ and fat burner Burn iQ. Enfinity is a great inclusion in a weight loss supplement, especially if you like to spread servings out across the day, as it provides the same noticeable energy level of caffeine but without the initial kick, crash, or tolerance issues.
MuscleTech has essentially made AlphaTest Thermo XTR a more premium and comprehensive hybrid testosterone-boosting fat burner thanks to the increased dosages and added multi-study ingredients in KSM-66 ashwagandha and enfinity paraxanthine. All of that is going to come at a more premium price, with the brand currently listing Thermo XTR in its online store at $74.99 for a bottle of 30 servings to get you through a typical month, versus the original’s $34.99.
