Ghost is officially entering the functional food side of the industry with its first-ever edible item, and it’s not your traditional protein bar, high-protein cookie, or any of the common snacking formats. If any other sports nutrition brand did this, it would be interesting, but it is far more fitting coming from the multi-award-winning Ghost. The brand’s product developers have cooked up Ghost Protein Cereal, a crunchy puff-style breakfast cereal promising to be as tasty as a regular cereal but with more protein.
Since the beginning of Ghost, or at least from the moment it introduced Ghost Whey, the lifestyle supplement company has made it very clear it is a fan of cereal, reflected in the menu of its protein powder by way of a Cereal Milk flavor. Ghost Protein Cereal takes that whole appreciation for the food and format up a notch, and its nutrition profile is reasonable, sitting at 18g of protein in a 39g serving or 24g with a serving of skim milk, 11g of carbohydrates, 6g of that sugar, 7g of fat, and 170 calories.
While the macros on Ghost Protein Cereal are a bit above some of the other better-for-you cereals on the market, knowing the lifestyle brand, the product won’t miss on taste, coming in two options, one of them being a smooth Peanut Butter and the second is a colorfully branded experience named Marshmallow with marshmallow pieces throughout. The other flavor of the high-protein cereal from Ghost is due to be announced shortly, as the launch of the functional innovation is only one week away. Ghost Protein Cereal is going live at midday Central Time next week on Wednesday, through the brand’s app and website.
