The Swedish market has exploded in competitiveness over the last few years with the introduction of several domestic brands, and one of those names picking up the pace and stepping up its game is Atron. It has a strong selection of products for all of the key sports nutrition categories, and as we roll into the month of May, Atron has entered the specialized area of intra-workouts, a type of supplement used during your workout to support and improve performance, endurance, and recovery.
Atron’s intra-workout is named Optimus, and it boasts a sizeable serving tipping the scales at a hefty 56g, although while that is big, keep in mind this is a carbohydrate-fueled supplement, and that does make up the majority of that 56g. There is a strong 25g carbohydrate blend In the product for fuel and endurance, and that is broken up into 10g each of premium Carb10 and Cluster Dextrin, 2g of Palatinose, and 3g of d-ribose, plus a variety of electrolytes combining for over a gram to support hydration.
The carbohydrates and electrolytes aren’t where it ends for Atron’s Optimus, adding even more convenient benefits to the product for deeper intra-workout activity. There is also 2g of taurine, a substantial 5g of glutamine, a gram each of betaine and n-acetyl-l-tyrosine, and for muscle recovery, there is all nine EAAs at an impressive 10g per serving. Rounding out the intra-workout concoction, the Swedish brand maximizes absorption by including 5mg of BioPerine and an effective 50mg of AstraGin.
Intra-workout is not a common type of supplement and something sports nutrition companies very rarely get into. That being said, Atron already covers a mountain of different categories, so it is only fitting it moves into some of these more uncommon territories as it continues to expand and grow. The brand has flavored its latest innovation, bringing it to market in three different tastes for you to sip throughout your workout in Mango Lemonade, Tropical, and Raspberry with a little under 20 servings a tub.
