Naughty Boy recently announced it would be reformulating its stimulant-powered pre-workout Menace, which was originally the only supplement it had on the market long before it blew up and expanded into the mountain of categories it currently covers. The revamped product wasn’t anything supremely over-the-top, although, to be fair, Menace has always been a more cost-competitive pre-workout, aiming to deliver as much as possible within a moderate price range.
Naughty Boy shared the formula it has put together for its Menace refresh a little over a month ago, and since then, it has decided it can do better and has changed what is going to be in that upcoming sequel supplement. Interestingly, the brand has made a few tweaks, but overall, it is very much a similar balance of ingredients and benefits, with the changes that have been made being the swapping of a certain ingredient or ingredients for something in that same area.
Basically, everything that was included in the initial Menace V2 announcement has remained, with the exception of three components. Those consistent highlights include 6g of citrulline malate, 4g of beta-alanine, and a gram of tyrosine. The changes that have been made include five times the theobromine at half a gram a serving, VitaCholine swapped for premium Cognizin citicoline, and VasoDrive dropped in favor of the more recent PeptiPump lentil peptides. There is a different caffeine strategy in the supplement, too, where instead of 400mg of anhydrous, you get 400mg from three sources.
We’ve got the facts panel for Naughty Boy’s tweaked revision of its well-rounded pre-workout, which again, keeps a similar balance of energy, focus, pump, and performance ingredients, with the key differences being you now get Cognizin to enhance focus and PeptiPump to power muscle pumps. We still don’t have an estimate on when the UK-based brand is switching from the original Menace to the Cognizin-fueled V2, only that it’s coming and should be here shortly.
