We already said farewell to a major energy drink in the short couple of weeks of the New Year, with the PepsiCo-owned MTN DEW Energy Drink being discontinued and fans being directed to another brand from the beverage giant in Rockstar. It turns out that isn’t the only energy drink maker exiting the industry this month; the reputable beverage news outlet BevNet has reported that Rowdy Energy from American professional stock car racer Kyle Busch is discontinuing its products and closing up shop.
The headline at BevNet reads “Rowdy Energy To Shut Down This Month”, which says it all basically, and brings a presumably tough end to the brand and its energy drinks. Rowdy certainly put in effort across the years, adding several flavors to its line since all the way back in 2020 for both the regular and sugar-free variants of its flagship energy drink. The brand went the natural route for its beverage, providing 160mg of natural caffeine from green tea in its competitor and using the likes of stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol.
Rowdy Energy did step in a different direction back at the beginning of 2022, introducing a fat-burning beverage that got a lot of attention with its callout of being able to burn 135 calories from just the product alone in four sugar-free flavors, including Pineapple Passionfruit and Mango Dragonfruit. With all of that said, as mentioned, reported by BevNet, Kyle Busch’s Rowdy Energy is coming to an end this month, so if you are a fan and come across it in stores, be sure to grab it while it is still floating around out there.
