Prime and its signature Prime Hydration Drink had a huge impact on the sports drink space, taking home a huge $250 million in its first year in business, and is projected to do an even more impressive $1.2 billion in 2023. Since it came to market with its electrolyte-filled beverage, the disrupting brand has introduced several headline-grabbing flavors, an energy drink, and a stick-pack supplement version of Prime Hydration.
The powder supplement spin-off of the Prime Hydration Drink was a major move by the brand from Logan Paul and KSI, as it put the fast-growing Prime in a different section at retailers and right in line with major powder competitors like Liquid IV’s Hydration Multiplier. As the year comes to a close, Prime has dropped another product for the supplement side of its business in a more traditional tub of the Prime Hydration Drink.
Prime has introduced Prime Hydration Powder or, as per its label, Prime Hydration + Powder, featuring all of the same key ingredients and similar dosages as the Prime Hydration Sticks and the original Prime Hydration Drink. The product comes with 40 servings a tub, each packing 700mg of potassium, 40mg of sodium, and a variety of vitamins and minerals, including 90mg of vitamin C, 3.4mg of B6, and 4.8mcg of vitamin B12.
Again, all of the key ingredients in Prime Hydration Powder are in the drink and stick packs, with coconut water and BCAAs also in the powder supplement. The brand keeps the nutrition nice and low in its four familiar flavors in Lemonade, Ice Pop, Strawberry Watermelon, and Blue Raspberry, with 5 to 6g of carbohydrates, 2g of sugar, and 20 to 25 calories. The Vitamin Shoppe is one of the first to stock Prime Hydration Powder at $29.99 for a tub of 40 servings, currently discounted to $22.49.
