Vireo Systems, the company responsible for the widely available and commonly used concentrated creatine CON-CRET creatine HCl, has officially cut the ribbon and opened its industry-first, stateside facility. You may remember last year Vireo made the monumental announcement that it would be finishing construction of a facility this year that could produce CON-CRET, making it the world’s first American-made creatine.
The fresh new Vireo Systems facility located in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, uses locally sourced ingredients, such as ethanol, to produce its muscle and strength-building CON-CRET creatine HCl. Other significant benefits the company says will come from the opening of the plant are improved supply chain protection, reduced shipping costs as it’s obviously not coming from overseas anymore, and the elimination of excess packaging.
Vireo Systems’ $16.6 million CON-CRET producing facility is already ramping things up and in the coming years it’ll result in opportunities for locals with the creation of 200 jobs. The branded CON-CRET creatine HCl has been showing up in more sports nutrition supplements recently, including Jacked Factory’s Nitro Surge Build and GAT’s Creatine HCl+, with the plant likely bringing more features and opportunities like that.
