The Prime Series supplement Energy is Naughty Boy’s more cost-effective pre-workout, combining a reliable set of ingredients and dosages to help you get a powerful workout at an impressive price of £22.99 (28.77 USD). The brand has unveiled another entry into its Prime Series that takes the same approach as Energy but in the sub-category of stimulant-free pre-workouts with a product named Swell.
Naughty Boy’s Prime Series Swell is much like Energy but being a stimulant-free pre-workout, it doesn’t have 200mg of caffeine anhydrous. It has many of the other ingredients, such as citrulline, although in the form of citrulline malate at 5g a serving, 3.2g of beta-alanine to drive performance, and the same 1g of taurine. The brand also carries over tyrosine and VitaCholine at an identical 1g and 600mg, respectively.
There are only a few ingredients that really separate Naughty Boy’s upcoming cost-effective Swell from fellow Prime Series member Energy. Those differences are 2g of arginine, 300mg of sea salt, half a gram of PerforMelon branded watermelon powder, and instead of BioPerine, the brand uses the premium, proven, and ever-present absorption enhancer AstraGin at a full 50mg a serving.
With a name like Swell, we initially thought Naughty Boy’s second Prime Series pre-workout would be a pump-focused supplement that could stack with Energy. It is actually more of a stimulant-free alternative, with a similar balance of ingredients and benefits, just minus the caffeine for energy. The product is launching soon, and it will continue the Prime Series’ cost-effective approach and be less than £25 a tub.
